TEAM MONART LAUNCH SUMMER SALE

April 15, Co. Wexford, Ireland: Ireland’s renowned elite horse sale, The Monart Sale, is pleased to confirm an additional “Summer Sale”, on the 30th and 31st July, as they head back to their roots with a dedicated ridden horse sale.

The November sale has become synonymous with attracting a glittering buyer audience of 5* champions and Olympic medallists from around the world.  With a move to including only 3-year-old horses in 2022, Monart has become a go-to venue for elite riders sourcing their future stars.

The newly launched Monart Summer Sale will once again feature high quality, Irish bred and produced horses, in a more select catalogue of ridden sport horses, for both eventing and pure jumping.

“We originally started with ridden horses, with past ridden graduates going on to Olympic, World Championship, and five-star success. But with the growth of the November sale and the sheer quality of the horses presented, we focused on the 3-year-olds.  We’ve had a lot of requests from both vendors and buyers to bring back the ridden horses, and the time now feels right to re-introduce them, but in their own sale. Giving our vendors an additional opportunity to market their horses to a global audience.  The July date will also enable buyers to get out and enjoy their new purchases for the remainder of the season” confirmed sale Director, Niall Griffin.

“The new sale will offer a smaller catalogue, but a wider age range of horse.  We want to make this a showcase of high quality, well sourced, Irish horses for every type of competitive rider, paying particular attention to make sure we are being inclusive of the more amateur rider.  Our team will be on hand to offer support to potential buyers, to guide them through the trial and sales process – a smaller catalogue and a little more hand holding.”

The sale will take place across two days at Monart Equestrian from the 30th to 31st July.  The first day will allow vendors to showcase their horses to potential buyers, with all performances available via a global livestream.  Onsite buyers will be able to trial horses making use of the extensive facilities that Monart Equestrian has to offer.  The auction will follow the same format as the November sale, with online bidding available from anywhere in the world.

Former buyer and amateur rider Amy Stone commented:

“As an amateur rider working within the equestrian industry, I headed to Monart in 2022 on the recommendation of several 5* riders and regular buyers.  It was a great experience, but equally quite daunting with a huge catalogue of horses and so many buyers onsite.  The new summer sale sounds like a great opportunity for riders like me, with the help and support from the Monart team guiding us through the process, and a more select catalogue.  I’d really encourage fellow amateurs to head out and experience the sale, I’m so pleased with my purchase, as we recently completed our first 5-year-old classes at the Sunshine Tour in Spain!”
